A local junkyard has a 1500 Spit (I guess a '77) with an OD tranny. They are asking $150 for the trans if I pull it myself. Does that sound reasonable? What tests/checks can I perform with it still in the car, but an engine that does not run (no dizzy, no radiator)? I will pull the trans, driveshaft, and trans mount. Did I forget anything? The car still has the air pump on - anyone needs one? I can pull it if you can tell me how to test it and how much I should pay for it. Marcus |
