I'm sort of sitting here shaking my head in slow disbelief and I'm almost
sorry I started the thread. I wasn't trying to imply that cutting the juice
to my negative lead of the coil would prevent a determined thief with a tow
truck from carting my car away!

Duh!

I was just asking whether or not it seemed like a reasonably good idea as a
way to slow down someone trying to hotwire the car by conventional means so
they could go for a joyride. I saw some other good ideas though. Parking
in a conspicuous place with the top down, flashing LED, etc.

Bill, now that you mention it, since my major tune up I no longer require
the choke to start my car at all! Don't you just HATE that?

Cheers,

Jeff
