And a willingness to settle for a fraction of a turn
at a time 8-)
If you're repairing or replacing the manifold with
the same type (eg with converter) check that the
extra support clamp for the exhaust system on the
engine backplate is there and unbroken. My personal
belief is that these manifolds crack due to the
additional weight of the converter - the extra hanger/
clamp is designed to take part of the load but is
often removed and not replaced or broken.
