Thanks for all the help on finding the timing mark on the pulley..
Not sure how the garage who said they'd done the timing ever found it, I
needed a wire brush on a drill to clean on the dust and crap so that I
could see them....
Anyhow the car is now timed to 10 degrees BTD and runs well!
Now I have to sort out the choke...
Any ideas?
