Awhile back, there was a lot of buzz about someone perhaps stamping out a
few neoprene (?) oil pan gaskets and whoever it was (arthur smith, maybe?)
was looking for volunteers to try one out. Well, I raised my hand up high
and that was the last I ever heard about it! Are these things still on the
drawing board? Or should I just go ahead and apply a thick bead of Permatex
2 to a standard gasket and just get on with it?
