The latest news - it appears someone other than Alchemy may be interested. It's
a group set up by John Towers, former Rover Chief Executive, and backed by a
number of Rover dealers throughout the UK, possibly with financial backing from
the government.

All change......!!!
BMW are in the process of selling ALL it's UK car production interests.
An investment company called Alchemy has bought the Rover part of the
business, but will be trading as MG and not Rover. It's target market will
be specialist cars in low production volumes. (Sports cars??)
Land Rover has been sold to Ford.
Where this leaves the Rover name is anybody's guess. It will probably leave
may people without jobs in Birmingham.
