Hi Andrew,

I lived and worked in The City for eight years and when the weather is
beautiful, there ain't nothing better -- period. Fortunately, I've found
that the same can be said for San Diego. Air quality is as good as the Bay
Area and more often than not, it's a beautiful day for top down driving.

I took a couple of rides today for no reason at all other than to enjoy the
drive. I live near a nature preserve with a nice, twisty two lane highway
surrounded by nature. I took my Spitfire down there and embolded by not
having my wire wheels fall off again after 125 or so miles, I gave those new
Koni shocks a bit of a workout in those curves. I still have skinny
tires -- 145 SR 13's on wire wheels after all -- so I didn't push my luck --
roll bar or not -- but it feels good getting a "feel" for the car, finally.

I was also able to track down a very noisy vibration problem that was coming
from behind the seats. Turns out it was the nuts that hold down the hardtop
rattling around inside the body at a certain RPM range. I reinstalled the
bolts, snugged them down to their rubber washers by hand and voila! Noise
gone. All that was left was the sound of the motor purring nicely and the
wind whistling. Nice.

Best wishes,

Jeff in San Diego
