I am in the Northeastern Florida (Jacksonville) area and can help encourage
members, but I have found out during the past week that I will be moving the
first part of August to the Columbus Ohio area (brrrr less time to drive my
spit). So I will be busy with that over the next month or four and cannot
coordinate too much here, but will happily help out. I do believe that
Terry Banbury and I can get an event going in the Ohio area pretty soon and
serve the northern midwest areas (Ohio, Pennsylvania, Indiana, West
Virginia, Kentucky, Michigan) . i have some experience coordinating VTR
regionals so this shouldn't be too bad. By the way remember we are small at
this point and we don't necessarily need a world convention. A tagalong on
a vTR regional convention, or just a weekend out would suffice. So count me
in.
As for nominating key people, I believe we should create a committe to work
out some details first, Say Five people to iron out some details and place
them before the group for a general consensus. I nominate Joe Curry as the
chair (sorry to do that to you Joe), and recommend four or five people from
the different areas of the country to join this committee. Someone please
give some more nominations and seconds along with a few yeas or neas.
I believe in this club, lets make it work, but diplomacy is needed.
Patrick
