Paul,
When I tore down my small bearing 1296 engine, I discovered an odd
piston in number 3 cylinder.  All bearings and pistons were standard
size, but the off piston had oil holes just below the oil ring.  I
inquired of the list and found that several others had seen that
particular thing in their engines as well.  Perhaps this has been a
problem even before the 1500's came out!
