Glenn,
I ran some quick calcs on my spreadsheet, and based on "stock" Spit
1500 values, and that no previous head shave or decking, etc has
occured, you should be able to remove 0.069" and obtain a 10:1
compression ratio. This does not take into account any polishing or
removal of any metal inside the stock combustion chamber. Also, if you
use a thicker head gasket, it could throw off the calcs as well.
According to the BL Comp Prep Manual, you should be able to shave off
about 0.080" without too much problem, again, assuming your head has
never been shaved before. If anybody's interested I can e-mail the
calcs off-list for brevity's sake...
Somebody correct me if I've screwed this up!

NASS Pilots,
BTW, I'll chime in on this... Maybe we could set up a West Coast
Flight Group! Looking forward to the regalia & comaraderie (sp?) :^)
