I recently did the whole of my 2000 sedan and about the only tip I can give
you is brute force and ignorance, now seriously there are available thin
sheet steel filler spreaders, these are fairly cheap (< £5 for a set of
three varying widths) and disposable, use one or more of these to make a
lead in, apply a smear of recommended lubricant, (the ones I used
recommended graphite grease), then apply the pressure. the only thing left
is to remove the spreaders this is when you will get most benefit from the
lubricant.
