I have a 74 also and have new floor panels to put in. I was going to attempt
the replacement with the body still on but have since decided against it. The
best way to do it is to pull the body off. Right now I have cut some sheet
metal and filled in the missing areas. This gets me on the road :-) When I
get done with my 63, I will restore the 74.
