Now I just *know* someone out there has solved this problem. Fess up! :-)
I'm trying to get the front oil seal out of my GT6's bellhousing. Naively, I
assumed it was just rubber and began worrying it out with a knife blade--
enough to bung it up good; but I can't get it out. I finally got rid of the
rubber by soaking the thing in acetone, and now I can see the problem is a
steel ring that looks like a press fit. It's in there so tight that prying is
useless. The only other idea I've had is heat.
any BTDT much appreciated!
