I still have and use the original seat belts for my '70 Mk III
Spitfire. However, I'm interested in adding shoulder harnesses. My car
is equiped with the chrome cleat (for lack of a better word) on the
wheel well inside the cab directly behind each seat. I have always
suspected that this was for installation of the shoulder harness setup
which was optional in those years. Other cars of similar vintage would
have a mechanically adjustable harness setup that would hook on to the
seat belt buckle via a clasp.
Does anyone on the list know how this works and where I could acquire
the shoulder harness setup for my car?
