Last night I wrangled myself into pretzel-like contortions to refit my oil pan and new gasket. I made sure that the surfaces were clean. Afterwards, I noticed that someone pointed me to the tips archive where the author mentioned using some sort of a sealing compound on the gasket before driving the bolts back in. I just tightened things back up "dry". Please, oh please don't tell me that I have to do everything over again. Thanks, Jeff in San Diego |
