After tearing down my spare 1500 engine this past weekend, I find myself in
need of a good block. The spare turns out to have been repaired after it
threw #3 rod (welded just behind and below the distributor hole). Since my
brother is spending a lot of money on this engine, he would like one without
this kind of history, and I don't blame him. If anyone out there has a
rebuildable 1500 they want to sell, please reply directly back to me. I would
prefer to find a '76, but would go for any federal engine with a good
rebuildable block. If you need a 1500 block, and don't mind that it has one
side welded, I have one that I will let go for cheap ($50 + shipping).
