At the risk of starting a flame war, let me just say that whilst
Graham is correct about the change in length affecting the
torque, that for our purposes it doesn't matter a whole lot.
Most of our torque wrenches are not accurate to within more
than +/- 5 lb/ft anyway. But to be more precise, you should
use a value of 41.5 lb/ft instead of 45. As to the right angle,
get out your trigonometry textbooks and use the appropriate
trig function. (Got out of that one, can't remember whether
it is the sine, cosine, or tangent. Oops, now that I think
about it, it is the tangent).
