That's a bummer, all right. I'm glad you and your son are OK. Though, VB
didn't help matters at all, wire wheels falling off LBC's is not a new
problem. I guess it reminds us all to beware of those many issues that
stranded many drivers and made these cars such a challenge long ago. Thrust
washers, bad electrics, and oil leaks come to mind.
I appreciate you having the honesty to recount this mishap. It's a valuable
lesson for me, my son, and many others. Come Spring, I'm going to
double-check everything and let the guys at Motorhead give it a good going
over before we go motoring.
