Hi, Jeff. Make sure you use "methylted spirits" (known on this side of the pond as denatured alcohol) rather than "mineral spirits" as I think I saw in an earlier posting. You will find the mineral spirits as destructive as any other petroleum product on the non-metallic brake components (hoses, seals, ...) Pure methanol is probably OK too, but it does need to be an alcohol, not an oil substance. Donald. |
