are you looking to mount it on the rear fender or up front next to the
windshield?
Either way I have found the fully automatic power antenna (no name brand)
sold at Pep Boys (auto chain here in MD) will fit with no problem.

Subject: Electric Antennae
Has anyone ever found an electric antennae that will mount into the stock
location on a late model spit. The standard antennas are just too big.
