Dumb Winshield Questions

Well, I took the windshield off to paint the car and ordered new gasket...now I
can't remember which side of the gasket goes where.  There is a flat side and a
rounded side and I think the rounded side goes to the inside, but not sure.
Also, does the sealant go in first, or can I inject it after refitting the
windshield (it looks like it could be messy unless its put in last)?  Next time
I take pictures!
