        I'm with Joe on this. The only security we have is reputation.
If someone on the list is ripping people off, it should be made
known. Sometimes the mere mention of a problem on the list
will cause the offender to come clean. But this should only be done
as a last resort. I've been on this list more than a year, and I think
I can only remember two instances where people suspected that they
had been totally ripped of by list members, and I think that
both of these were resolved.
        As for taking other action against offenders, all I can say
is consider very carefully what you're getting into. Many ISPs will
close you're account for mailbombing and the like. Unless you're very
savvy, it's extremely easy to trace an email to it's origin.
There are also spam and harassment laws which may apply against you,
depending on jurisdiction. Although I 'feel better when they're not
around' I'd suggest trying to keep the law on you're side in this kind
of situation.
