To the list's gear gurus,
I just rebuilt my single rail OD transmission and have a couple of problems.
First the transmission grinds slightly when shifting quickly from second to
third. Second, the shift lever seems to slide out of the correct position and
this makes it sometimes difficult to engage first gear. I used a VB
transmission repair kit,installed all new thrust washers and snap rings,and
thought I got the clearances right. I installed a used counter gear and used
(good condition) shifting forks. The transmission only has 10 miles on it since
the rebuild. Any body have any ideas before I take it out?
