I finally took a look at my non-functioning tailights yesterday. I found
that power is getting to the lamps, but not to the bulbs. I was able to
clean the contacts and get all but one function working on one light.
This is on a early spit lamp. The running lights portion of the bulb is
feed through a red w wire. This wire is crimped to a L shaped piece, then
rivited to the piece that connects to the bulb. The last contact I need
to clean is the one rivited together. Any ideas on how to clean this
contact? Or should I follow my instict and run a bead of solder across
the two pieces?
