Sounds like a good time to snag the unit off the distributor, copy down
the numbers on the critter and take it all into a good auto parts store
like NAPA or BAP/GEON. I remember from my time behind the counter when
faced with an odd application to just toss out the info on what car it was
going to be on and just did a comparison and cross reference by number to
something that would work. Echlin (a NAPA brand of ignition parts) had an
illustrated catalog that did a great job of identifying vacuum advance
units and listed below the numbers, plus what applications used them.
