And speaking of police and their radar guns, my wife and I had a
funny incident just last week.
We were driving the Spitfire down a usually 90kmh divided
highway, which this day was reduced to 50kmh for a big horse show on a
side road. We had slowed to 50 or less because I was going to turn off
the highway, when I spotted a gaggle of cops, motorbikes, patrol cars
etc at the intersection.
Two cops, one female were pointing their radar guns up the
highway at us, and as we slowed to a stop one complimented us "Nice
Car"! I replied politely "Thank you".
The other cop then held up the radar gun and asked "Wanna
trade?" My wife quickly replied "No thanks."
I dug her in the ribs and said "What's the matter with you?
With one of those things, we could get all of these we wanted! Seems to
work for the cops"!
Our chuckle for the evening.
Cheers, Fred
