One more question,
I was looking in the Hanes manual and it said to put the joint at the
bottom. I have already wrestled the thing on the glass and mine is at the
top, does it matter or is just for astetics ?

You can do it yourself, I did mine and its not really hard use about a 1/4
inch dia rope -

The guy who did my truck used a calking gun with some sort of black glazing
compound. I asked if they sell it, and he said sure, but I suppose that
you could get it at any good body shop paint and supply store. When I redo
mine (if I ever get my windscreen from TRF that I ordered back in October),
I will use sealant and it's applied AFTER the windscreen is installed-
