Yes, I feel it is also a waste of money.  Triumph engineers were
intelligent enough to know how much oil is needed in the upper part of
the engine.  If the engine is not delivering the normal quantity of oil
up there, something is wrong that the hose will not correct.  Also,
delivering too much oil will cause excessive smoking and oil consumption
since the Spit engines do not ordinarily have valve seals.
