hello john...i have built the same car. i find it is a pleasure to drive.
spifire good looks with passing ability and cruising highway capabilities.
if you do not have the triumphtune rear suspension conversion (which
consists of frame bracket and spax shock) i would recommend this as the only
non-stock necessity. the car handles and rides much nicer with this setup. i
used my own conversion for years and the car handled well but was much too
stiff for street use. i like the car alot and i have finally found a non
rusty bonnet for it, plan on having it painted this summer. another
improvement is the smiths dual gauge water temp & oil pressure guage which
fits into the stock spit dash replacing the temp only guage....good luck geo
