Alternator problem resolved

Hi,

Thanks to all the people who gave input on my alternator problem,  it
turned out that the field winding had an open and was not only not charging
the battery but also keeping the warning light unlit since there was no
return path for the current through the light.  Just wanted to let everyone
know what the problem was in case they see similar symptoms in the future.
Now If I can get the new ignition module installed I can get back to fixing
the carb. problem!
