Mark,
Now that I have had a chance to scan my messages more completely, I'll
offer what I know about the longer axle replacement.

It seems to me that you might encounter some clearance problems in the
rear wheel wells, particularly with larger tires that people commonly
use.  You don't necessarily need to use the longer axles with the
swing-spring upgrade.  I used my shorter axles with the swing-spring and
I have had many pleasant comments about how my car is the only one
people have seen that sits properly in the rear end.  It actually has a
very slight negative camber and doesn't sag or tuck like many Spits I
have seen.  The swing-spring does provide a welcome relief from the 
"jacking" effect prior to the upgrade.  

I still plan to experiment with the camber compensator on both the
Swing-spring and the fixed spring on the car I am doing as a racer.  It
would appear that a proper camber compensator would offer a much
improved handling that the swing-spring because the roll stiffness is
not compromised with the fixed spring as it is with the swing-spring. 
With the larger front anti-sway bar, the Racer should have a very solid
feel.

But it all remains to be seen since I can't do anything until I get down
to Tucson.
