Radio Tower

Hello fellow Spitstirs,  

Could anyone out there tell me if the radio tower from a late model Spit
fit an early model MK1.  

This is the bracket that bolts to the dash, stradles the transmission
tunnel, thenbolts to the floor with a cutout for a radio.
