My '72 MKIV in High School was painted a gorgeous Imron Red. With the
engine mods, no muffler (Ansa dual glass pack tip u-bolted to the pipe
from the header), black gloss wheels w/ chrome trim rings, and shiny
wet Imron paint, I was frequently asked:
"How can a young boy afford such a nice car?"
I don't even remember washing it in the 2 years I owned it. Too fun
to drive, very reliable...
Now I get told:
"This is what my car looked like BEFORE I restored it..."
Heh - even faded blue/primer, it's too durn fun to take off the road
just yet! Gotta charge it up for this weekends xmas party for our
Triumph Club!!
Cheers!
Chip
p.s. - the neighbor kid came over and said, "Is that a Mustang or a
Corvette?" My wife just laughed...
