For those of you seeking or building alternatively powered Spits, I had a chance to talk to Tim Suddard of Grassroots Motorsports fame this weekend at Road Atlanta. He's building a rotary Spitfire. He showed me some of the pictures, and I must say - Wow! I'm converted! Imagine - the looks of a Spitfire w/ the added performance! And, after watching the RX7's dominate the course all weekend. Hmm - do I *really* want to compete in a SCCA modified class? Maybe... ;-) Chip |
