Hi all,

I am about to replace Emma Peel's (1980 1500) non-functioning automatic choke
with a manual unit. I have elected not to purchase one of the kits available
at Moss and others as they seem quite pricey and I'm not interested in paying
for things like a warning light which I wouldn't use anyway.

I've obtained a manual choke/starting unit from an earlier carb. I've also
obtained a new cable and clip. Any and all advice from others who have gone
down this road would be gratefully appreciated.

Also, anyone who could explain the method in which these units function would
be helpful; I understand they aren't a conventional choke.

Thanks,

Neil
