Subject: calendar & carbs.

Listers, just received my Illinois T/R 1999 calendar, all the important
dates relating to T/R'S are notated, and some very nice members cars
pictured, a good price and well worth owning.
In preparing for the 800 mile drive to Ocala 99, decided to overhaul the
carbs and do a complete tune-up, all went well, so Friday I went for a
100 mile drive to check the MPG with the new carbs, 24.2 was the
disappointing figure, rechecked everthing back again just to make sure
the dumb owner did it right, with the recent posting about carb neddles,
I pulled the listings up for the correct size and guess what I had, you
got it, S/U extra rich racing neddles, installed the lean (SL), went for
a nice drive and 28.7, this is what I did on the 2850 miles to Hudson, Wi
for VTR, just goes to show when you think you know, you really don't, if
you think you should check behind a mechanic, what do you check behind
yourself. "FT"
