diffy replacement

Ok guys getting close to putting the differential in ('bout time eh?) 
but I can't find that trap door for the four mounting bolts.  The manual 
says behind the seats in the center.  So I pulled up my rear deck carpet 
and looked there.  Couldn't find it.  By my best guess it looks like its 
under the gas tank.  Please tell me I don't have to take my gas tank 
out!
