Scions,
I replaced the wiring harness in the Spit I am building with a
replacement from British Wiring in IL. It was made in England. It is
identical to the one I took out (minus the years of crud, tape, and melted
insulation) with one exception.
In the left rear wing there seems to be a group of connectors
(spade/lugs) for all the wiring continuing to the tail / license plate
lights. It appears to be for something to plug in and act as a jumper to
continue the power to the end of the line. Was there something on later
model cars that plugged in here? Could they possible be a set of spares to
connect up trailer lights? I have heard rumors of some relay that turn down
the taillights when the head lights were on later models.
I am almost at the point of powering up the electrical system and
am wondering if something is missing and is it available. Blow it off and
jumper the whole thing? What do you think?

Richard Ceraldi
