Last week I made a post about a Spitfire I was possibly going to buy
that had one rear wheel straight up and down and one wheel leaning. I
got lots of responses and at least came to the conclusion that it was
not a fatal flaw and would be worth pursuing having a mechanic check it
out. I was hoping to be able to have a report to the list so people
could see if their theories panned out, but late last week I looked at
another Spitfire that seemed to be just what I'm looking for and I've
made an offer on it pending a check-up by a mechanic. So if there is
nothing major wrong with this car then as of Wednesday night I'll be
the owner of a '79 Spitfire.
Sorry I couldn't have the rear wheel issue answered for sure for folks,
but appreciated all the input. Now that I am becoming a Spitfire owner
I'm sure I'll have plenty more questions to post to the group.
