What causes Knocking/Pinging under hard acceleration? Bad Mixture? Low Octane? Not enough Spark? Bad Timing? I have a 68 Spit with the 1300cc engine and a Down Draft Weber carb (DGV) I always use cheap 87 octane gas. I recently replaced the entire leaking muffler system with a header and new 2" tail pipe/muffler. -Kirk Crawford mailto:kirk.crawford@beachnet.com http://www.beachnet.com/~crawford/ 1986 Ramcharger $5800 OBO http://www.beachnet.com/~crawford/ramcharger/ |
