(OT) Our lawn tractor's 16-year-old engine gave up the ghost (rings).
Rather than horse around with a rebuild, we bought a brand-new B&S engine on
eBay ($360 delivered here in 30 hours). Bolt-on job except for an exhaust
mod because the new engine is OHV so the exhaust port is on the opposite
side. (Seems like a moment for a turbo but alas no kits.)
Stepped up from 13 HP to 17.5 HP. Mows like the dickens.
Mower also needs a new seat. Thinking Recaro... : )
