The only special tool you need is a BFH (big hammer).
Take the wheel off and whack out the broken stud. Put a few washers over the
new stud and screw on a lug nut pull it into the hub or if you can get the lug
nut on with the wheel on, forget the washers and just torque the lug nut to
spec.

Subject: [Shotimes] being put out to stud
My SHO has a broken front wheel stud. I do not want to deal with all of the
steps and time of taking off a front hub/bearing/etc. and taking it in for a
new lug to be hydraulically pressed in.
I have a new lug bolt ready to go in. Is there a special tool, please, that
I can use to install this lug with the hub still on the car?
