For headphones I suggest checking out the comparison tests on CNet.com. As
far as wired vs wireless, that=E2=80=99s your choice, but usually wired wil=
l be
cheaper, of course. Don=E2=80=99t be too concerned about your phone or othe=
r
devices (iPads) not having a headphone jack. AFAIK, they will have a USB-C
port that=E2=80=99s multi function. Apple sells a short pigtail that has a =
3.5 mm
headphone jack and a USB-C male plug that works with wired headphones. It
works fine with my wired Apple headphones on my phone and iPad. I also have
a couple of pigtails that split the USB-C port allowing power and audio to
be connected to a phone or tablet simultaneously. I got the Apple pigtail
at Best Buy, the dual port version from there, too, or Amazon, IIRC.
Prices for noise canceling headphones are all over the place. If you want
decent noise canceling functionality you=E2=80=99ll probably want the close=
d ear
type. I=E2=80=99ve used Sony MDR series phones for studio work but they wer=
en=E2=80=99t
noise canceling. Sennheiser are also highly recommended.
All of this said, I understand that some of the better hearing aids offer
Bluetooth connectivity for us old farts!
