Thanks everyone.
Moose's first reply was, in part, what I had been thinking. The rest of the=
security issue replies cemented the return.
My printed (and frelling HP) do not need access to my contacts, etc.
PITA spying printer is boxed with (free) shipping label and going away tomo=
rrow.
Thanks again all
tim

Subject: [Shop-talk] HP M110we printer drivers
Sorry for the off topic but I know there are many computer experts out ther=
e.
I bought this printer so I would have a "simple" B&W laser jet for shipping=
labels.
When I bought it I missed that is has to stay connected to the web even aft=
er set up and subsequent printing through the USB cable.
I am hoping I can install the drivers for this thing without the need for c=
onstant web access by the machine.
Any one have any thoughts on how I can do this? (near as I can tell, the H=
P web site won't allow just downloading the drivers. It want access to my n=
etwork on the very first step.)
thanks
tim
