A few years ago I found a whole slew of cabinets that were just about to
enter the dumpster from a neighbors' remodel. I grabbed my 2 wheeler and
hauled them all down the street to my place. One piece was a 5' "peninsula"
cabinet. I did mount 4 locking casters on it to make a rolling tool bench
and cabinet. The other cabinets got mounted to the walls in the garage, and
served my purpose beautifully.

I agree with Jack. Unless you really need the castors to roll around the
cabinet, I have 2 old free standing kitchen cabnets, 1 wood & 1 metal.
Several of my neighbors had remodled there kitchens and taken the old
cabinets and hung them on the wall all around their garage. Keep your eyes
open and you may find someone redoing their kitchen, or look for a
discount/used cabinets house and scratch and dent sales.
