If its a mains counting clock then its getting interference when on that outlet. Sources of interference are for example loose connection/arcing or a light dimmer on the same circuit or an arcing commutator on a motor or failed suppression in some device etc. Have the outlet checked. Listen to mw radio near the outlet for electical noise |
