   Somewhere near 30 years ago, I used good old Contact Cement for my 
Singer's front motor mount and it is still holding.  Now this is a 
mount where the weight of the motor is on top of it so not a shear 
and not holding anything up but I have forgotten a few times and 
lifted the car via the motor and it held.  I must admit I did put on 
"safety chain" in case the glue did not hold but I has held.  If it 
let go the motor could slide backwards and fall out, the chain will hold it.
