Randal,

That was our 1st thought.  Tried to reset it and it didn't do anything.
We reinstalled the motor after it cooled for 4 hrs, and still nothing.

Good question.  I was wondering how to really test these large caps?

No it sits there stone cold. Nothing, no noise or anything.
