I found these assembly fittings at Rockler: IMO, glue is the only way to make anything strong out of MDF. Any kind of point fastener creates a point of weakness. Ordinary screws (with pilot holes) help with clamping. Even the cheap, knocked-down MDF furniture they sell at IKEA holds up pretty good if you glue all the joints in addition to the supplied fasteners. Randall |
