Could be latex interior paint has changed in the last ten years but I
would never use latex on interior trim. I always used oil base for the
trim. In my opinion there was too much build up with the latex and it
didn't sand well. Whenever I encountered latex on trim, I either
replaced the trim or stripped it down to the wood and started over with
oil base.

I would also take the doors down and paint them one side at a time on
the flat. Made a much nicer job in my opinion. The paint would flow out
much nicer and less chance for runs. Could be the oil base runs easier
than the latex, but the finished job looked a lot better in my opinion.

Latex is for walls and exterior work, but that's my opinion. Again,
maybe things have changed in the last 10 years. :-)
